This fantastic new show is performed by Renegade and features one of Perth top female artists Nikki Delaynii recreating the vocal styling of legendary female country artists Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and more.
The show does not attempt to 'impersonate' the artists, rather faithfully recreate the songs and sounds of this fantastic era of American country music. Conway Entertainment's flagship act Renegade was formed in 2008 and has since performed over 400 shows throughout Western Australia. The five piece band's stable line-up boasts some of WA's finest musicians. The band is renowned for holding a six year residency at the Skye Bar (the Shed) in Northbridge, formally one of Perth's top live music venues. Changing their hats from black to green, Kevin, Gary & Damien have put together a repertoire of Celtic classic tunes from the likes of U2, The Sawdoctors, The Pogues, Floggin Molly, Van Morrison, Thin Lizzy, the Dubliners, Mundy to name just a few. Mixing these up with a few contemporary favorites keeps everyone in the room happy and the show never fails to get feet tappin' and hands clappin. Through the nineties and up to around 2008 Hot Gossip dominated the Perth live music scene They held long term residencies at some of Perth top venues including the Stamford Arms, The Morley Ale House and Novaks in Northbridge. They also entertained the clients and staff of many of Perth's leading companies, performed at the Perth Concert Hall and the Burswood Theater in support of many touring acts. They were also regular performers at the original Cabaret lounge at what is now the Crown Casino. With the female members eventually moving on and the Renegade and Midnight Rambler shows taking on a larger share of the performance time, the Hot Gossip name was put on ice.
